Inti Raymi 2023 Launch: The Beginning of a Journey into the Inca Legacy

On April 13, 2024, the Jorge Chavez International Airport was the stage for a brief Inca ceremony that served as a prelude to the official launch of the Inti Raymi and Cusco Festivals 2024.

The Inca, the Coya, and the imperial entourage were the protagonists of this ceremony, which took place in the heart of Lima. The event was held with the objective of promoting and announcing the official launch of Inti Raymi 2024, which will take place tomorrow, Friday 14, at Huaca Pucllana in Miraflores.

The ceremonial act at the airport was an early demonstration of what tourists will be able to enjoy during Inti Raymi and the Cusco Festivals. During the event, the Cusco artistic cast performed a demonstration of the dances and cultural traditions of the region, which was received with enthusiasm and applause by those present.

The Mayor of Cusco, Gen. Luis Beltrán Pantoja Calvo, took advantage of the ceremony at the airport to invite tourists from around the world to visit the imperial city and enjoy the different activities that are carried out in honor of Inti Raymi and the Cusco Festivals. During these festivities, the city is transformed into a vibrant and colorful stage, with parades, music, dance, and traditional food offered on every corner.

In conclusion, Inti Raymi and the Cusco Festivals 2024 are a unique opportunity to experience the rich culture and traditions of Peru. Tourists visiting Cusco during these festivities will have the opportunity to learn about the history and culture of the country first-hand, while enjoying a unique and unforgettable experience.
