ITINERARY OF OUR INTI RAYMI TOUR

On June 24, the celebration in honor of the Sun God takes place at the three historical and natural venues traditionally used for the performance: Qoricancha Temple, Plaza de Armas, and Sacsayhuaman.
We will pick you up at your hotel at 9:30 am with our guide to begin our tour. It is necessary to leave early to secure good seating at our restaurant in front of the Plaza de Armas.

10:00 hrs. The Inca and his entourage will walk to the Plaza de Armas where the presentation will begin, depicting the meeting of two worlds.

At 12:00 hrs, we will transfer in a private vehicle to Sacsayhuaman (a name derived from the Quechua terms “saqsay” and “waman,” which translated into Spanish means “sáciate halcón.” This impressive archaeological site is located at 3,555 m.a.s.l., one kilometer from the Inca district of Qolqanpata).

At 1:00 pm, the ceremony will begin. We will be seated in the VIP section of the venue to have the best view of the spectacle.

Around 4:30 pm, the performance will conclude, and we will gather to head back to Cusco, dropping you off near the main square.

ITINERARY OF OUR INTI RAYMI TOUR

The Inti Raymi, the festival in honor of the Sun God, is celebrated on June 24. During this festivity, important rituals are reenacted in historical and natural settings in Cusco. Below is the detailed itinerary of our journey:

Tour Start: We will begin with hotel pickup, leaving early to secure the best spots in front of Qoricancha, where the ceremony will commence.

08:00 hrs – Qoricancha: We arrive at Qoricancha, a place of great historical significance. We will position ourselves in the best spots to witness the exit of the Inca and his entourage.

10:00 hrs – Plaza Regocijo: Next, we will walk to Plaza Regocijo, where we will gather for the guide’s instructions.

Approximately 11:00 hrs: After some free time, we will take our transport to Sacsayhuamán, the main stage of the reenactment. The trip takes about 20 minutes.

12:00 hrs – Sacsayhuamán: We will arrive at the impressive archaeological center of Sacsayhuamán, whose name comes from the Quechua words «saqsay» (satisfied) and «waman» (hawk), meaning «satisfy yourself, hawk.» From here, we will witness the central ceremony of Inti Raymi.

12:30 hrs – Box Lunch and Ceremony: At this time, we will settle in the grandstand at Sacsayhuamán and enjoy a delicious box lunch while the ceremony takes place. From our locations, we will have the best possible view of the spectacle, reliving the glorious tribute to the Sun God.

16:30 hrs – End of the Ceremony: At the end, we will regroup and return to Cusco, dropping you off near the Plaza de Armas so you can continue exploring the city at your own pace.

Inti Raymi is the festival in honor of the Sun God, celebrated in various historical and natural settings of Cusco. Below is the itinerary for the day:

11:00 AM: We will meet at Plaza Regocijo, where our guide will give a brief introduction and provide the necessary instructions for the tour. Then, we will take our transport near Plaza Regocijo to head to Sacsayhuamán (approximately 20 minutes).

12:00 PM: Arrival at Sacsayhuamán. This impressive archaeological site, located at 3,555 meters above sea level, is known for its name derived from the Quechua words «saqsay» (satisfied) and «waman» (hawk), which translates to «satisfy yourself, hawk.» We will be about one kilometer from the Inca neighborhood of Qolqanpata, surrounded by an ancestral history that connects us to the past.

1:00 PM: After some time to enjoy the surroundings, we will take our previously reserved seats for the ceremony. Here, you will experience the magic and solemnity of the reenactment, ensuring a privileged view of the spectacle.

4:30 PM: Around this time, the reenactment will conclude. We will regroup and head back to Cusco. We will drop you off near the Plaza de Armas so you can enjoy the rest of the day at your own pace.

ITINERARIO DE NUESTRO TOUR INTI RAYMI

El 24 de junio, la fiesta en honor al dios Sol, se realiza en los tres escenarios históricos y naturales que habitualmente se utilizan para la escenificación como templo de Qoricancha, Plaza de Armas, Sacsayhuamán.

Pasaremos por su hotel a la las 9:30 am con nuestro guía para iniciar nuestro tour, es necesario salir temprano para guardar buenos espacios en nuestro restaurante frente a la plaza de armas.

10:00 hrs. El inca y su sequito subirán a pie la Plaza de Armas donde comenzara la presentación en la cual tratara el encuentro de dos mundos

12:00 hrs nos trasladeros en una movilidad privada rumbo a a Sacsayhuamán (voz que deriva de los términos quechuas “saqsay” y “waman” que traducido al español significa “sáciate halcón”: Este impresionante centro arqueológico se encuentra a 3,555 m.s.n.m., a un kilómetro del barrio inca de Qolqanpata.

A las 13:00hrs dará inicio la ceremonia, nos acomodaremos en la tribuna VIP del escenario para tener la mejor vista del espectáculo.

16:30hrs aprox. Fin de la escenificación, nos reuniremos y dirigiremos hacia el cusco, los dejaremos cerca de la plaza principal.

El Inti Raymi es la festividad en honor al dios Sol, que se celebra en diversos escenarios históricos y naturales de Cusco. A continuación, te presentamos el itinerario de la jornada:

11:00 hrs: Nos reuniremos en la Plaza Regocijo, donde comenzaremos con una breve introducción por parte de nuestro guía, quien nos dará las indicaciones necesarias para el tour. Posteriormente, tomaremos nuestra movilidad, cerca de la Plaza Regocijo, para dirigirnos a Sacsayhuamán (aproximadamente 20 minutos).

12:00 hrs: Llegada a Sacsayhuamán. Este impresionante centro arqueológico, ubicado a 3,555 metros sobre el nivel del mar, es conocido por su nombre que proviene de las palabras quechuas «saqsay» (saciado) y «waman» (halcón), lo que se traduce como «sáciate halcón». Nos encontraremos a un kilómetro del barrio inca de Qolqanpata, rodeados de una historia ancestral que nos conecta con el pasado.

13:00 hrs: Después de un tiempo para disfrutar del entorno, nos acomodaremos en nuestros asientos previamente reservados para la ceremonia. Aquí, podrás vivir la magia y solemnidad de la representación, asegurándote de tener una vista privilegiada del espectáculo.

16:30 hrs: Aproximadamente a esta hora, finalizará la escenificación. Nos reuniremos nuevamente y tomaremos rumbo de regreso hacia la ciudad de Cusco. Te dejaremos cerca de la Plaza de Armas para que puedas disfrutar del resto del día a tu ritmo.

El Inti Raymi, la fiesta en honor al dios Sol, se celebra el 24 de junio, y durante esta festividad se recrean importantes rituales en escenarios históricos y naturales de Cusco. A continuación, te presentamos el itinerario detallado de nuestra jornada:

Inicio del tour: omenzaremos con el recojo en tu hotel, saliendo temprano para asegurar los mejores lugares frente al Qoricancha, donde comenzará la ceremonia.

08:00 hrs – Qoricancha: Llegamos al Qoricancha, un lugar de gran significado histórico. Nos acomodaremos en las mejores posiciones para apreciar la salida del Inca y su séquito.

10:00 hrs – Plaza Regocijo: A continuación, Caminaremos hacia la Plaza Regocijo, donde nos reuniremos para las indicaciones del guía.

Aproximadamente 11:00 hrs: Tras este tiempo libre, tomaremos nuestra movilidad para trasladarnos hacia Sacsayhuamán, el principal escenario de la escenificación. El viaje dura unos 20 minutos.

12:00 hrs – Sacsayhuamán: Llegaremos al impresionante centro arqueológico de Sacsayhuamán, cuyo nombre proviene de las palabras quechuas «saqsay» (saciado) y «waman» (halcón), que significa «sáciate halcón». Desde aquí, se aprecia la ceremonia central del Inti Raymi.

12:30 hrs – Box Lunch y Ceremonia: A esta hora, nos acomodaremos en la tribuna de Sacsayhuamán y disfrutaremos de un delicioso box lunch mientras la ceremonia se lleva a cabo. Desde nuestras ubicaciones, tendremos la mejor vista posible del espectáculo, donde reviviremos el glorioso homenaje al dios Sol.

16:30 hrs – Fin de la Ceremonia: Al finalizar, nos reuniremos y regresaremos a Cusco, dejándolos cerca de la Plaza de Armas para que sigan explorando la ciudad a su ritmo.
