June 24th Inti Raymi Festival of the Sun 2025
On June 24th, the celebration in honor of the Sun God takes place in the three historical and natural locations typically used for the reenactment, such as the Qoricancha, Plaza de Armas, Sacsayhuaman.
Qoricancha (Public Venue)
- 7:40 a.m. The Travel Agency will pick you up from your hotel with transport and guide to head to the first station of the reenactment at Qoricancha (Golden Enclosure).
- 08:00 a.m. We will meet at Qoricancha, where we will settle to watch the Inca’s entrance with his entourage.
- 09:00 a.m. or 09:30 a.m. Looking up slightly, we will see the Inca making an invocation to the Sun God.
Plaza de Armas (Public Venue)
- 10:00 a.m. We will walk to Plaza de Armas, where we will settle in one of the corners to watch the Inca procession. Afterwards, we will take our transportation at the Plaza Regocijo to head to Sacsayhuamán (approx. 20min).
Saqsayhuaman-Inti Raymi (Private Venue)
- 12:00 p.m. Sacsayhuaman (the name comes from the Quechua words “saqsay” and “waman,” meaning “saciated hawk”: This impressive archaeological site is located at 3,555 meters above sea level, one kilometer from the Inca neighborhood “Qolqanpata.”
- 1:00 p.m. We will have our box lunch, and the ceremony will begin. We will settle in the VIP orange bleachers to enjoy the best view of the show. This is the only venue where we will be comfortable appreciating this magnificent reenactment of the Inti Raymi.
- 3:30 p.m. approx. End of the reenactment. We will gather and head to the transport to drop you off at your respective hotels. (There will be heavy traffic on this day, and some people whose hotels are close to the plaza may opt to walk to the Plaza de Armas, approximately 15 min walk).
- To attend the INTI RAYMI, EMUFEC provides the necessary services: Bleachers at Sacsayhuaman equipped with modern and comfortable VIP seats, portable restrooms, tourist information booths, first aid stations, and security (both police and private), allowing for a great experience of the Festival.
- We have 03 VIP bleachers that the passenger must choose from: Orange bleacher, Red bleacher, Green bleacher.
